Service
Request an accessibility audit
Have your service tested against the Commonwealth accessibility requirements by people who use assistive technology every day.
Availability
Audits are being scheduled into the next quarter. Urgent requests connected to a live service failure are prioritised.
Who can use this service
- Service teams in Commonwealth departments and agencies
- Local authorities, since the programme was extended in June 2026
Before you start
You will need a working service or prototype that testers can reach.
Automated testing should be done before you request an audit — it finds a third of issues and takes a day.
Audits are currently scheduled 10 to 14 weeks ahead.
How to use this service
Run automated testing first
Fix what a scanner finds before asking for an audit. It makes the audit itself far more useful.
Request the audit
Tell us what the service does, which journeys matter most, and when you plan to launch.
Testing with assistive technology
Testers use screen readers, magnification, speech input, and switch access against your priority journeys.
Receive findings and retest
You get findings ranked by the barrier they create, not by technical severity. We retest fixes at no cost within six months.
This is a demonstration
Commonwealth Office of Digital Services is a fictional organisation and this site is a HubZero Blueprint. Nothing on this page is submitted, stored, or sent anywhere.
